Curiosity & Late-Night Coding
Growing up in Rwanda, I was always curious about how computers worked under the hood. Long before software engineering was a popular path in Kigali, I spent late nights reading docs, experimenting with code, and learning how to build things from scratch.
Watching the Tech Boom in Rwanda
Over the years, digital payments, mobile connectivity, and local tech usage took off across Rwanda and East Africa. It was exciting to see, but I also noticed a recurring challenge: many software projects were rushed and struggled to run reliably under real-world conditions.
Noticing What Was Missing
Working on various systems, I saw growing businesses deal with fragile databases, broken payment integrations, and software that couldn't handle network drops. There was a clear need for solid, dependable engineering built right here in Kigali.
Starting MilvaLabs
That’s why I founded MilvaLabs. I wanted to build an engineering studio focused on doing things right—writing clean code, designing reliable cloud architecture, and building products like Milva Grid that businesses can count on every day.
